FAQs
I’m a Photographer | Sculptor based out of Montreal, Canada
My work is deeply rooted in the exploration of self-acceptance, identity, and the human experience. My photo-realistic sculptures focus on capturing the nuanced emotions that come with embracing one’s body and identity, especially in a world where external standards often dictate self-worth. Through hyper-realism, I seek to convey the quiet yet powerful stories embedded in every wrinkle, scar, and expression, all of which carry the marks of personal history, struggles, and triumphs. The human form serves as my primary canvas.
In crafting each piece, I strive to reflect the complex relationship people have with their bodies — both the reverence and the discomfort… an invitation to pause and recognize the inherent value in our natural, unaltered selves. Through portraiture and figuration, I celebrate the imperfections that make us whole, reminding us that every line tells a story, every detail contributes to our identity.
I aim to foster a sense of acceptance, not just of one’s external appearance but of one’s inner narrative, understanding that self-worth transcends societal expectations.
As a first generation Polish-Canadian, I also weave in the themes of belonging and displacement. My experiences of navigating two cultures—one rooted in Eastern European culture and the other in the diverse fabric of Canada—are reflected in my work. These themes of duality and adaptation add layers of depth to my sculptures, underscoring the resilience it takes to form a cohesive identity while embracing both heritage and change. Ultimately, my art is an invitation to recognize the beauty in the complexities of identity, encouraging viewers to see themselves and others with greater empathy and acceptance.
