Water Colours

It's been shown time and time again that nature is good for wellbeing. Forest bathing or Shinrin-yoku is a trending topic. It's been shown that as little as 20 minutes in nature can greatly reduce anxiety and stress.

As an avid hiker and out-doors(wo)man I appreciate the connection we have to the natural world. It's something I grew up doing, and I get out whenever I can.

Because I consider being in the wilderness so fundamental, and because I'm a raging feminist, I've started to photograph women in nature, or forest bathing, as part of a long term project.

My very first shoot was with Olivia, a childhood friend, who braved large spiders and summer rain storms with me to make this possible. I'm only posting the water part of our session for now. More to come.
